The patented and proven SSTCore is still in full effect, but now each honeycomb cell is slightly denser (Precision Core Technology), which refines the energy return (power) to the ball, and is impervious to ball impacts. This also quiets the response, but not the Pro Control's performance. Although the Pro Control paddles do not get the Power Matrix treatment, the Pro Control's are no slouch in the power department without it. To complete the Pro Control's all-court prowess, and your opponents with scalpel like precision, is another patented technology (TXR Surface Grip), which provides a predictable grip on the ball, and delivers a lethal degree of spin on your shots. Weighing around 8 ounces, and paired with its 16.5 in. length, the Pro Control Elongated supplies a little extra length based power compared to the Pro Control Fusion. And to further help control the action, with one or two hands on the paddle, Gearbox uses a 5.5 in. handle length, along with a 4 in. even grip diameter.
